Washing the Laundry
I spoke at Lisburn Pentecostal Church last night and mentioned many times about listening to truth instead of lies. We as women can tend to start comparing and competing with the other women in our lives. We often tear apart our sisters in Christ as a result of comparing. Instead, we need to wash & renew our minds in the truth of who we are each day! How often do you wash the laundry? Just like the laundry, our minds need to be washed on a continual basis and renewed in the truth of who we are in Christ!
So often we let our mind speak to us words of destruction, disappointment and doubt. Negative words about ourselves and others start off as taps on a drum but become a banging, repetitive beat that silences the truth. We end up living in a fear of rejection of ourselves instead of in the freedom of truth. In order to allow truth to silence lies, we need to know the truth about ourselves. Know TRUTH and the TRUTH will set you FREE! Here are some verses (Taken from Living Free in Christ by Neil Anderson, 1993, Regal Books) about the truth of who we are in Christ. Memorize one verse each week to bathe your mind in the truth of who you are to be confident in Christ and secure in your Saviour!!!
