2 hours for a glass of water

We have heard of poverty.  We have heard people die from a lack of food and water everyday.  But how much does this knowledge impact our life?  In order to try to experience a little of what women in poverty-stricken countries go through each day, my sister and two friends walked a mile to a lake, fetched 5 gallons of water (weighing over 40 pounds) per person, carried the water back a mile, boiled it for an hour and then drank the lake water.  “Poverty is real, but sometimes it’s hard to really know what the poor face in everyday life.”  Watch this dynamic video, and be challenged! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IEJrT7kw-yA
