Almond Chocolate Cake Recipe

Almond Chocolate Cake

Combine the dry Ingredients in a bowl:

390 g of flour

300 g of sugar

6 tablespoons cocoa

2 teaspoons of salt

2 teaspoons of baking soda

Put three holes in the dry mixture.  Fill the seperate holes with:

2 teaspoons vanilla flavoring & ½ teaspoon of almond extract

140 ml of vegetable oil/sunflower oil

2 tablespoons of vinegar

Then pour 500 ml water over all three holes containing the wet ingredients.

Mix with a fork, but don’t beat.  Add 50g of almond slivers.  Pour into two circular cake pans or one large rectangle pan. Pans should be lightly oiled.  Bake at 180 degrees Celsius for about 25 minutes.Frost cake with cream or icing.  Decorate with chocolate leaves, fruit or chocolate swirls.  Enjoy the cake with family and friends!

If you don’t like almond, simply leave out the almond extract and almonds!
